In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to join Zoom Meetings or Schedule a meeting with Zoom on Ubuntu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our <a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/index.php\/howtos\/how-to-install-zoom-video-communications-client-on-ubuntu-18-04-lts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous<\/a> tutorial, we learnt how to install Zoom Meetings client on Ubuntu 18.04.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up\/Joining Zoom Meetings on Ubuntu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Launch Zoom Client<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can launch zoom from command line;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>zoom<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Or from the applications menu by typing zoom and pressing ENTER to launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Joining a Zoom Meeting on Ubuntu using Meeting ID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For you join a meeting, someone has to have already setup or created\/scheduled that meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence, to join a zoom meeting on Ubuntu;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch Zoom app and sign in to your account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the &#8220;Join&#8221; button to join a meeting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the meeting ID or personal link name provided by the host and click &#8220;Join&#8221;. For instance a meeting invite link looks like <strong>https:\/\/zoom.us\/j\/PERSONAL-MEETING-ID<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/join-pmi.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"613\" height=\"336\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/join-pmi.png\" alt=\"zoom meeting ID\" class=\"wp-image-664\" title=\"\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">zoom meeting ID<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Replace the Personal Meeting ID with the unique Meeting ID of the host included in meeting url and set correct display name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If prompted, enter the meeting password provided by the host and click &#8220;Join&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose whether to join with video on or off and click &#8220;Join with Computer Audio&#8221; to join the meeting audio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join Zoom Meeting using the Meeting URL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Paste the invite browser and click enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will prompt you to choose an application to use for joining the meeting, of course you need to select zoom.
