In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to setup RainLoop webmail client after installation on Ubuntu 18.04.<\/p>\n<p>There are two ways in which RainLoop application can be configured;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Through Admin Panel &#8211; makes it easy to set basic configurations.<\/li>\n<li>Manually modifying the application.ini configuration file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Admin Panel Configuration<\/h2>\n<h3>Login to RainLoop Admin Panel<\/h3>\n<p>To login to RainLoop admin panel, enter the URL <code>http:\/\/product_installation_URL\/?admin<\/code>, where <code>product_installation_URL<\/code> is your server&#8217;s host-name for example <code>http:\/\/webmail.example.com\/?admin<\/code>. The default login credentials are;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Username: <code>admin<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Password: <code>12345<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-admin-panel-login.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1307\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-admin-panel-login.png\" alt=\"rainloop admin-panel-login-page\" width=\"1280\" height=\"565\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-admin-panel-login.png 1280w, https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-admin-panel-login-768x339.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/a>When you login for the first time, you should consider changing the default password.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-adminpanel-page.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1318 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-adminpanel-page.png\" alt=\"rainloop adminpanel-page\" width=\"1912\" height=\"871\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-adminpanel-page.png 1912w, https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-adminpanel-page-768x350.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1912px) 100vw, 1912px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can change the password by click <strong>change<\/strong> link on the <strong>Warning <\/strong>message or just click <strong>Security<\/strong> tab on the left pane. This will take you the page shown below;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-reset-password-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1320 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-reset-password-1.png\" alt=\"rainloop reset-password\" width=\"1912\" height=\"759\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-reset-password-1.png 1912w, https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-reset-password-1-768x305.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1912px) 100vw, 1912px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enter your password details and click <strong>Update Password<\/strong> to reset it. You may also want to configure two factor authentication (2-FA).<\/p>\n<h4>Configure Email server settings<\/h4>\n<p>Once you have reset your password, go ahead and configure your email server settings so that you can be able to access your mails. Therefore, click on the <strong>Domains<\/strong> tab. By default, RainLoop supports four types of email domains namely; <strong>gmail.com<\/strong>, <strong>yahoo.com<\/strong>, <strong>outlook.com<\/strong>, <strong>qq.com<\/strong>. You can click the check box to enable or disable any mail domain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-mail-domains.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1322 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-mail-domains.png\" alt=\"rainloop mail-domains\" width=\"1913\" height=\"473\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-mail-domains.png 1913w, https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-mail-domains-768x190.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1913px) 100vw, 1913px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Among these, Gmail is enabled by default with its SMTP and IMAP settings configured.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-gmail-domain-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1326 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-gmail-domain-1.png\" alt=\"rainloop gmail-domain\" width=\"1277\" height=\"588\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-gmail-domain-1.png 1277w, https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-gmail-domain-1-768x354.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1277px) 100vw, 1277px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have your own email server, click <strong>+ <\/strong><strong>Add Domain<\/strong> button to configure your IMAP and SMTP settings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-add-mail-domain.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1324 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-add-mail-domain.png\" alt=\"rainloop add-mail-domain\" width=\"1417\" height=\"682\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-add-mail-domain.png 1417w, https:\/\/kifarunix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/rainloop-add-mail-domain-768x370.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1417px) 100vw, 1417px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you are done configuring your email server settings, logout from admin panel and remove the <code>\/?admin<\/code> suffix from the URL and reload the page.
